I love Grey's Anatomy, but I've really never been a fan of Meredith/Derek, unlike, apparently, nearly everyone else who watches. Still, as I was compiling playlists on iTunes recently, I found myself coming across songs that reminded me of them and I put them together into this small fanmix I told Laine I'd post, so here it is.

I totally have three with him in it, but they're most because Meredith's so cute. >_> And you know, the more I rewatch (I have completely lost count), the more I decide I don't hate him, I just hate him with her. I'm not wild about him, but I don't hate him either.

See, I think if we had gotten to see him before she ever even entered the picture, I might not hate him, but so much of his character revolves around her that I hate him because I hate him with her. Sometimes I like him. I rewatched the s6 holiday episode yesterday, because I deemed it finally seasonally appropriate, and I like him in that. He's just, I don't know, himself. And a douche. And the hair is so not as great as everyone says it is, I just don't get it.

Okay, yes, THAT. I think it's just that, the more I rewatch, the more I begin to pick out which parts are just Derek. Or something. Anyway, he really does have his moments. Mostly he has moments where I want to punch him because he's ridiculously black-and-white and accuses Mere of being naive and treats her like a baby but asks her to be an adult and just sghajkajhdsgshjaka. :E

I DON'T LIKE THE HAIR. IT LOOKS GREASY. HIS HAIR PRODUCTS MAKE HIM WACKY.

I like him in that icon because I CANNOT SEE HIS HAIR and it makes him look more attractive. I don't even know what I'm saying anymore.

BUT YES, I AM GLAD (if unsurprised) THAT WE ARE IN AGREEMENT.
